solution: lumino incorporated the iconic 'tree of life' symbolism and organic earthy colours into a memorable retail brand. The identity was further developed into sub-brands that not only represented the product groupings but also the zones within the store to make the products easy to find. lumino worked with Design Vision (interior designers) to create a unique retail experience.
brief: to develop an inviting sales suite and all associated sales materials for a boutique resort development on the sunshine coast.
solution: the resort’s offering is built on providing a quintessential ‘small town’ beach holiday so lumino developed the name ‘essence’ to reflect this focus on simplicity and purity, with a strong sense of place. The sales office was designed to reflect the interior of a beach shack so that visitors can actually experience the level of finish and see the furniture package rather than viewing small samples on a display board. A full-scale model of the resort needed to be accommodated so the natural timber screen was extended to go up over the ceiling with lighting incorporated to make a feature within the space.

solution: lumino developed an edgy custom typeface that looks contemporary and modern, while retaining a minimal feel. By adopting basic black as the colour for the brand, it translated well to modern fit-out with the store signage standing out just enough without overshadowing the product.
