brief: to design a Corporate Profile for SunWater using the title 'Making Water Work' and to provide a snapshot of the organisation rather than a more comprehensive document, to enable the profile to have longevity.
solution: to link the Profile and Annual Report, Lumino used the same cover image but developed a circular symbol, derived from the logo’s negative space to suggest the water cycle. The die-cut slipcase provides a frame for the title on the front and the web address on the back. We employed a non-standard size and shape, which was still suitable for mailing and used the existing imagery from SunWater’s photo library to provide a cost effective outcome.
brief: to create a compelling piece of marketing collateral which showcased the particular expertise of Gadens Lawyers with major infrastructure projects. The profile was required to: have a ‘wow’ factor that expressed the firm’s young, vibrant personality, be innovative and express Gadens’ need to continually pioneer new ways to deliver infrastructure projects and not use any traditional or clichéd imagery of infrastructure projects.
solution: lumino developed a concept based on Meccano which presented sleek and sophisticated appeal to fit Gadens’ desired corporate image. The simple Meccano constructions (bridge, railroad and excavator) were conceptualised to fit the minimalist brochure design and photographed to focus on individual pieces and create a ‘nuts and bolts’ feel that expresses Gadens’ behind-the-scenes role in infrastructure work. The brochure was printed in black and white, with metallic silver as a highlight. A spot gloss varnish in a circular pattern that echoes the Meccano pieces is used throughout.
brief: to design a Corporate Profile for Walz Group which would enable the company to stand out in their regional market. It had to include the nine subsidiary brands under the Walz Group umbrella, have a strong visual impact and create visual cohesion between imagery obtained from varying sources.
solution: lumino created an nine-element ‘dot’ device to establish a sense of unity and connectedness among the nine subsidiary companies that comprise the Walz Group. The dot device is die-cut from a striking red slipcase, which houses the square profile. This device also appears on each company’s page and is used on page numbering and bullet points. lumino devised a simplified W to present a more contemporary identity for Walz with the individual logos all appearing in white to give them visual cohesion. The smooth stock of the red slipcase adds an important tactile element to the project.
brief: to design something that tied in with the annual report theme of 'making water work everyday'. a brand building tool that people would hold on to.
solution: we designed a corporate profile with a built in desk calendar that matched the design of the annual report. being a calendar people are likely to leave it on their desks.
the design concept features a strong graphic on the front that is embossed to make the piece stand out and have people see it as something special.
brief: Murphy Pipe and Civil is a leader in the civil construction industry with a strong track record in building pipelines. the profile needed to reflect the innovative solutions MP&C offer their customers and their commitment to reduce overall project costs.
solution: we developed a posiitoning statment - innovation in action and used strong bold photography to instill a sense of size, power and strength. the profile is designed with lots of clean white space, ensuring sensitivity to the reader and clarity of message.
